One of my favorite things about Ben modeling for me is that he'll never say no to a shoot.
There's a building on Long Street in Columbus, OH that has colored lights illuminating the sign. When I shot with gels in the studio (which I will be doing again soon), I wanted to try to find a way to do this on location, and the opportunity presented itself.
I used one defused flash to help light his face. I did a test run at this location a few days prior to the shoot and without the extra light, I really lost the detail of the model.
I'm really excited about how these turned out. I'm going to revisit it next semester, when it's not crazy cold.
